Singer Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has surrendered himself to the police at State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, Lagos State for alleged social distancing violation.
The state police command spokesperson, Bala Elkana, who confirmed this, said Naira Marley arrived the SCID office on Monday afternoon April 6, and has been interrogated. He will also be charged to court for social distancing violation and the restriction orders.
The police say the command has launched a manhunt for the remaining persons who attended the party organized by Funke Akindele and her hubby over the weekend.
The actress and her husband were arraigned on Monday at the Samuel Ilori Courthouse of the Magistrate Court in Ogba, Lagos, for social distancing violation and were sentenced to a 14-Day community Service, and N100,000 fine.
The charge against them is made pursuant to the Regulation 8(1a &b) and S 17(1) of the State’s Infectious Disease Regulation 2020.
