The Lagos state government has yet again, discharged four more coronavirus patients from its isolation facilities.
The four more patients discharged on Friday 3rd April 2020, comes after 18 patients had earlier been discharged, after making full recovery from the novel virus.
With this development, the Lagos state government has discharged 22 of its 98 confirmed cases,
So far, 190 cases have been confirmed in Nigeria. 24 have been discharged nationwide.
Governor Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state, while briefing the press on the four more discharged patients, said:
“Dear Lagosians, it is with utmost pleasure that I inform you of the discharge of an additional 4 patients from the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH). They comprise 3 Females and 1 Male.
Bringing the total recovered patients to 23.
They were released having recovered fully and testing negative to the COVID-19 virus twice consecutively.
We are indeed happy to see them reunite with their loved ones.
I would also implore everyone to stay home, stay safe and not take this virus for granted.
Keeping strictly to the instructions on prevention is also very important.
