Pop Smoke’s childhood friend and best friend, Mike Dee denies any involvement in his death, as fingers are beginning to point at the rapper’s inner circles as those behind his death.
Mike Dee who was the individual spotted in the last Instagram post made by Pop Smoke before he was murdered, where he posed holding wads of cash, denies setting up his friend. He made a post on his Instagram account sharing childhood photos of how far they have come before the sad news. He said he can’t believe anyone would even think anything of the sort.
Pop Smoke and Mike posed together in front of the Hollywood Hills home with a huge stack of cash, just hours before masked men stormed the home and killed him.
Taking to his Instagram account, Mike Dee posted this message saying:
He continued, “I don’t gotta explain nothing to nobody that dont kno me but for the ones who know me know when you saw me you saw Pop. We live in such a f-up society yall gotta wake up. Just kno I got you forever brother the truth will come to light until then sleep in peace…”
In another post, Mike Dee said, F– what everyone is saying I’m #Innocent 💯 Why would I setup my homie? I can’t take all this heat I’m already losing myself 😢😞😞 F — all y’all police / FBI motherf– ya’ll don’t know s***.
As we reported earlier, Pop Smoke’s death has been reported as a targetted hit and not a home robbery as initially reported. There is also claim that a surveillance video showed four men around the home where the 20-year-old was shot and killed.
Police are yet to officially release a statement on the shooting and possible suspects or leads in the investigation. But most entertainers like Nicki Minaj and 50cent, have been calling the shooting and killing of Pop Smoke as an act of jealousy that can only come from his close friends. It is also unclear if anyone has accused Mike Dee of a setup, or if he is just reacting to trolls online.
The world is waiting to hear or see photos of possible suspects in the shooting that has taken one of the bright talents who was just starting his life and career as a rapper.
