Vanessa Bryant has just broken her silence since the sad news of her husband and her daughter’s death. The wife to late Kobe Bryant on Wednesday, shared a glowing tribute to Kobe Bryant and her daughter Gianna Bryant and seven others who died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas on Sunday.

Vanessa Bryant who became a window when the helicopter carrying NBA legend and her husband of 20-years Kobe Bryant and her teenage daughter Gianna Bryant crashed on Sunday, took to his Instagram to make her first post since the sad event.

Taking to her social media account on Wednesday night, she posted a message thanking fans and loved ones who have sent their support.

She said she is hopeful for her family’s future saying:

“I’m not sure what our lives hold beyond today, and it’s impossible to imagine life without them. But we wake up each day, trying to keep pushing because Kobe, and our baby girl, Gigi, are shining on us to light the way“.

The 37-year-old Vanessa Bryant who is still mourning, made some changes to her social media profile, changing her profile picture, to an image which featured her late husband staring down at their daughter, with the pair simply beaming at one another and radiating absolute love. 

Vanessa Bryant also addressed the other lives who were lost by stating: “We are also devastated for the families who lost their loved ones on Sunday, and we share in their grief intimately.” 

Vanessa Bryant says her family is appreciative of prayers following the tragedy.

 “My girls and I want to thank the millions of people who’ve shown support and love during this horrific time. Thank you for all the prayers. We definitely need them,” she states. 

Focusing on her loved ones, she says they are “completely devastated” about losing both Kobe Bryant and 13-year-old Gigi.

Calling her husband the “amazing father of our children” and Gigi “a loving, thoughtful, and wonderful daughter, and amazing sister to Natalia, Bianka, and Capri,” Vanessa Bryant also states, “There aren’t enough words to describe our pain right now.” Saying the family “take comfort in knowing that Kobe and Gigi both knew that they were so deeply loved,” the wife of the proudest girl dad adds, “We were so incredibly blessed to have them in our lives. I wish they were here with us forever.”

Vanessa Bryant also states they were “taken from us too soon,” a sentiment echoed by the rest of the world. Reminiscing about their love saying it’s “endless” and “immeasurable,” she expresses one last wish for them. “I just wish I could hug them, kiss them and bless them. Have them here with us, forever,” she says. Vanessa Bryant and family are not just thinking about themselves during this time but want to help the others who lost their loved ones in this unexpected tragedy.

Ending her statement, Vanessa Bryant says they’ve set up a fund “to help support the other families affected by this tragedy.” Singing off, she adds, “Thank you so much for lifting us up in your prayers, and for loving Kobe, Gigi, Natalia, Bianka, Capri and me.” 

She also made sure to include a hashtag reading “Girl Dad,” something Kobe Byrant was proud of. As The Blast reported, the Lakers legend, his daughter, and 7 others perished after their helicopter crashed and burst into flames on Sunday, January 26 in Calabasas, CA”.
