Popular Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe Damijo who is fondly called RMD, seems to have joined the Marlian troops, as he took to his Instagram page to share a photo of singer Naira Marley and himself inside a plane.
RMD posting the photo on his Instagram shared a short story about how he came to love Naira Marley and his music. He also made mention of those who made him love the young man and his craft. But most importantly, he wanted to know if posing and snapping with Naira Marley qualifies him as a Marlian.
The Wedding Party actor sharing the photo captioned it with how his wife first met the singer, and how everybody in his household are Marlians. His words:
“Early this year my wife shared a seat with @nairamarley on a trip from Dubai. She told me how he was very gentle and almost shy. A few months later on a flight from Abuja to Lagos, one of the last passengers to board was @nairamarley and he sat beside me. He started laughing. We both knew why I mean, what are the odds? I whipped out my phone and took this picture I’m sharing with you now.
Today the young man has grown into some kind of phenomenon. My young daughter calls herself a Marlian. Even when I tease her and ask, so what happens to @davidoofficial she just smiles and covers her face. This is no joke my whole household of holidaymakers are all calling themselves Marlians. Question is… does posting this picture make me a Marlian? 😂😂” he said.
…But Naira Marley is still facing trial for alleged internet fraud and other offences, which was brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). He is still on bail, and because he is yet to be cleared, this photo and the caption could put RMD on the wrong side of fans, especially the non Marlains.
