The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Mallam Mele Kyari has received Excellence award by Valuechain oil and gas magazine. The GMD was formally presented with the award on Monday 23rd December 2019 in his office, by the Valuechain Oil and Gas Magazine.
Making the presentation, the publisher of the monthly magazine, Malam Musa Bashir Usman, said the award was bestowed on the GMD Mallam Mele in consideration of his tireless efforts, since he took over office, in repositioning the nation’s oil company.
“We are therefore here today to formally present the award to you sir, in recognition of your commitment to transparency and accountability since your assumption of office as the GMD”, Usman said.
Mallam Kyari, it would be recalled, introduced Transparency, Accountability, Performance and Excellence (TAPE), a roadmap to global excellence which encapsulates the strategic focal point of his administration.
Responding after he received the award, Mallam Kyari thanked the management of the Magazine for the award.
He added that he was encouraged by the gesture, and promised to sustain the good reforms embarked upon by his management team.
