Miss Virginia, Camille Schrier has been crowned Miss America 2020, taking over from Nia Franklin who was the Miss America for 2019.
Camille Schrier was crowned Miss America 2020 after she impressed the likes of Karamo Brown, Kelly Rowland and Lauren Ash who were the judges. She came tops in all the stages of the competition to emerge the winner of the Pageant held on Thursday 19th December 2019.
Camille could not believe she won, as she could barely hold back her tears when her name was announced and the audience went wild.
During the competition, the ladies took part in interviews, showed off their talents, and gave their ‘social impact pitches.’ As of 2018, The Miss America Organization has made a conscious effort to choose a winner based on so much more than just looks.
The new Miss America, Camille Schrier beat other fifty contestants to emerged as the new qMiss America 2020. She was awarded a $50,000 scholarship, and the job of ‘Miss America’!
