A House of Representatives member, who is representing Anambra East and West federal constituency, Hon Chinedu Obidigwe is again giving back to his constituents, and this time, he distributed raw meats and other items to appreciate the people.

Hon Obidigwe who was declared the winner of the February 13th 2019 House of Reps election under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), after defeating the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mr Ernest Nwoye, said his gesture was to thank the women leaders who worked so hard in the rain and under the sunshine to give the party victory in the 2019 election.

Hon Obidigwe shared some of the photos from the ceremony held at the Tourist Garden Hotels LTD Aguleri earlier this week. He captioned the photo with:

Earlier today at Tourist Garden Hotels LTD Aguleri I met with APGA women leaders from Anambra East and West Federal Constituency. These are women that have worked so hard for the party in the rain and under the sunshine.

Yes! They are always there, standing under the sun, waiting, not minding the long queue, eager to cast their votes with hope it will change the future of their children for better. Mothers are our beacon of hope and light.

They deserved to be appreciated and I have no option than to do that in my own little way to encourage them to always be the light for their children to emulate.

Happy Christmas Celebration in advance to our mothers, our party women leaders and other women executives of our great party.

#WeKeepMovingForward he said.

Hon Obidigwe who ran on the platform of APGA was declared a winner with 28,657 votes ahead of Nwoye who scored 9,574 in the election which was contested by 17 other candidates.

Both Anambra East and West remains the poorest part of Anambra State, despite all its human and mineral resources.
