The Miss France 2020 has been crowned, as 22-year-old Clemence Botino was announced the winner of the 90th edition of the pageant on Saturday 14th December 2019.

Clemence Botino who is a first-year Master of art history student at Paris Sorbonne, is the second coloured lady that was crowned as a world queen, on Saturday, after Miss Jamaica won the Miss World crown in London, England.

Miss France 2020 event took place at the Dôme de Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône), and Miss Clémence Botino, who also doubles as Miss Guadeloupe, was crowned Miss France 2020. She succeeds Vaimalama Chaves.

The thirty regional Misses in the running were 18 years old, for Ilona Robelin, Miss Lorraine, at 24, for Romane Edern, Miss Brittany. The 15 semi-finalists (against 12 in the previous elections) were qualified at the pre-selection jury, the results of which were decided on Wednesday. They were then decided by the jury, chaired this year by Amandine Henry, and the viewers. It is only the latter who elected, thanks to their votes, Miss France and her runners-up.

4th runner-up: Manelle Souahlia, Miss Côte d´Azur
3rd runner-up: Sophie Diry, Miss Bourgogne
2nd runner-up: Matahari Bousquet, Miss Tahiti
1st runner-up: Lou Ruat, Miss Provence
