Adele has been rumoured to be dating British rapper and grime star Skepta after sharing their mutual appreciation for one another, the UK Mirror had reported.
According to the British tabloid, both Adele and the Grime star, Skepta who coincidentally are both from Tottenham, have reportedly enjoyed a string of dates, a few weeks after she officially filed for divorce from husband,Simon Konecki. But they have been closed friends for years.
While we cannot substantiate this report, rumour has it that her ‘relationship’ with Skepta and other things, might have contributed to her marriage hitting the rock earlier this year, as she feels more loved by Skepta.
The UK Mirror stating further, said some unnamed close sources claimed the pair enjoyed a night at the Crystal Maze experience in London two weeks ago for the Shutdown singer’s birthday.
The insider told The Sun: “Adele and Skepta have been there for each other a lot after both their relationships split up.
“They have a close bond and there’s definitely a special connection.
“They’re spending more and more time together. Some of their friends are hoping and predicting they could end up being a great couple one day.”
It comes after the pair have spoken fondly of each other in the press and made clear their mutual appreciation on social media.
Speaking to ES Magazine in 2016, Skepta said: “Adele texts me all the time and keeps me in check. She speaks to me about how things are going.”
The same year Adele shared a picture of Skepta – real name Joseph Junior Adenuga Jr – to her official Instagramaccount.
“Tottenham Boy,” she wrote, followed by a heart emoji.
Skepta reshared the message and wrote “love you” with a red rose emoji.
Recalling the incident to IBTimes UK, Skepta later said: “She gassed me up. One day I was just chilling and she [tweeted] a picture that said ‘Tottenham boy’ and she’s from Tottenham as well.
“I was actually going to quit music that day, that was one of the sickest things ever. She’s like the lady of Tottenham” the report had said.
