Two civilians are said to have been killed and many more injured in a roadside bomb attack in southern Kandahar province in Afghanistan, an Afghan official says.
According to the spokesperson for the Interior Ministry, Nasrat Rahimi who spoke about the Kandahar bomb blast on Saturday, said five other people were wounded when the blast struck the vehicle Friday afternoon in Spin Boldak district.
No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack in Kandahar, but the Taliban are active in the province and have claimed earlier attacks.

The Taliban’s spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, claimed the attacks in Kabul a few days ago.
