Arsenal from the reports we are getting from Skysports have agreed to an undisclosed transfer fee with Celtic for 22-year-old Kieran Tierney. The defender is already reported to be on his way to London for his medicals.
Arsenal before this latest news, have had two bids rejected by Celtic for the defender, but after some negotiation and a transfer fee of £25million which we cannot confirm was reached, the player and the English Premier League club was given the now for medicals, which is tomorrow.
This is definitely Arsenal’s board giving us the shock of our lives. I mean, a few weeks back, it was rumoured that they only had just £45million for the current transfer market, and since the transfer window opened, they have completed deals way past £45million!!…they were even reported to be moving in for ex-Liverpool player and now a player not wanted by Barcelona, Coutinho which is now off.
I hope these players will replicate some of these ingenuity we have seen in this transfer window so far from the Arsenal board on the field of play, when the league kicks off in a few days.
Arsenal aside the rumoured signing of Kieran Tierney, are also preparing to offload the Nigerian, Alex Iwobi to Everton who had earlier tabled £30million for the man from the Arsenal’s academy. Also, Arsenal are also being linked to Chelsea’s experience defender, David Luiz and although we do not know how credible the news is, given what Happened with Petr Cech, and the surplus at the back for Chelsea, it will not be a surprise if the Brazilian leaves to North London.
This could be the best transfer market ever for the Arsenal fans, who are already talking about winning the League…lol
