The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared six people wanted as the anti-graft agency posted photos of the six wanted men for various crimes, while also arguing about the issue of reward for information.
The Commission after the post had Nigerians commenting on the post, as they asked the commission for a reward for any valid information that will lead to the arrest of the six wanted individuals. But the Commission declined, asking its followers on social media to see the fight to end corruption in Nigeria, as a collective battle, and them giving valid information to the Commission is their way of contributing to the fight against corruption.
The Commission or the handler of the social media page who seems to be in the mood, engaged Nigerians on the issue of reward replying those that have raised the point, and it has been an interesting read so far. But first, this was the information released on Tuesday 6th August 2019 by the Commission on the six wanted persons:

While EFCC does not give a reward for any information given just like the Whistleblower policy introduced by the Federal Government of Nigeria to fight corruption, and in the last few years, billions of naira and Dollars and hundreds of millions in other foreign currencies have been recovered, it can give it a try and see how it will help in the fight against corruption, especially internet fraud.
Whistle-blowing Policy in Nigeria is an anti-corruption programme that encourages people to voluntarily disclose information about fraud, bribery, looted government funds, financial misconduct, government assets and any other form of corruption or theft to Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Finance. under Mrs Kemi Adeosun.
A whistle-blower who provides information about any financial mismanagement or tip about any stolen funds to the ministry’s portal is rewarded or entitled to 2.5% – 5% per cent from the recovered funds by the Nigeria government. The policy was launched on December 21, 2016, by Nigeria’s Federal Government and facilitated through the Federal Ministry of Finance.
