Cardi B cancelled her concert in Indianapolis alleging threats to her life and the safety of fans, as the show which was supposed to hold on Tuesday night, was called off by the organizers.
According to the organisers of the show, the cancellation was due to an unconfirmed threat that was made to the venue and that of Cardi B, and although they cannot verify the threats, they do not want to take chances given past events, especially that of the Garlic festival shooting in California.
Also given how vocal Cardi B has been of late, with respect to some Political issues where she has publicly declared her support for the Democrats Presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders whom she had a one-on-one discussion with on Monday, and her criticism of President Donald Trump, she fears she has become a target and will not risk the warning signs.
Cardi B who shared a short video of her rehearsal at the venue of where the show was supposed to hold, which is the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, reposted the announcement made by the organisers. But the show has now be rescheduled for September 11.
Cardi B who also spoke about the cancelled show on her Instagram account said:
“Dear Indiana I just want to let you know I was in the venue today .I rehearsed and started doing glam.Due to a security threat that is under investigation the show was canceled.My safety and your safety first .I want to thank the promoters we have already rescheduled the show. Im so sorry guys I never dealt with a situation like this before and I’m not taking any chances.I love you guys ❤️❤️.”
This was her write up about her conversation with Bernie Sanders which most people are alleging triggered the threat to her life. She had posted this on Monday:
