Popular actor, Cuba Gooding is looking like the next Hollywood celebrity that will be dragged for an alleged sexual assault, as yet another woman has come forward to accuse him of groping her inside a club.
According to reports, the Academy Award winner, Cuba Gooding Jr is being grilled by the Police, after it was reported that he allegedly groped a woman inside a midtown club.
The New York Daily News reported that after hearing about the allegation that Gooding had grabbed a 29-year-old woman’s breasts at the rooftop bar Magic Hour, another woman reported to police that the “Jerry Maguire” actor had groped her.
The second woman as also reported by New York Daily News, claimed Gooding had grabbed her buttocks when she met the star at the Butter Restaurant in Midtown, which is owned by chef and Food Network star and judge Alex Guarnaschelli, in March 2008, sources with knowledge of the case said.
Gooding may not be charged for the attack because the incident occurred 11 years ago, officials said. New York has a five-year statute of limitations on these types of sexual assaults.
In the alleged video of that particular incident, Cuba Gooding Jr can be seen speaking Portuguese into the camera with an attractive woman by his side. They look to be having a good time, and she later wrote, “Nice to meet you man. You’re amazing.”
Later, Cuba could be seen (and heard) belting out the lyrics to Journey’s “Faithfully,” while sipping on what appeared to be a cocktail while hanging out with friends.
Gooding and his attorney have denied the allegations, claiming that there is video evidence that will exonerate the actor.
“I trust the system and I’m going to let the process speak for itself,” Gooding said in a video released to TMZ showing him greeting fans Tuesday night while boarding a flight to New York. “There’s a tape that shows what really happened. You have to have faith in what people say.”
The actor already has is marriage issues which divorce has dragged on for years, after twenty years of marriage.
