Real Madrid has officially signed Eintracht Frankfurt’s striker, Luka Jovic, as the Spanish giant announced that they have agreed terms with both player and club for him to join them. The player is due to arrive in Madrid, where he will undergo his medical to complete his move to the Santiago Bernabéu.
Luka Jovic who arrived Eintracht Frankfurt on loan from Benfica last season, before he was signed by Frankfurt, on Tuesday signed a six-year deal worth £52.4 million with Real Madrid till June 30th 2025. The move by the Serbian striker to Real Madrid for a transfer fee of £52.4 million will also see Benfica taking home 30% of the total money.
Kovic who is just 21, has been a revelation since his arrival in Germany from Benfica, especially in the Europa Cup final where he showed what he can do on the big stage, but his team Eintracht Frankfurt were knocked out by Chelsea, the eventual winners.
During his time in Germany, he scored 27 goals and seven assists and could help Zidane revive his dying Real Madrid squad, and with the likes of Ferland Mendy and Eden Hazard already on their way, Real will be ready to reclaim their spot in European football once more.
