The newly sworn in Governor of Imo State, Governor Emeka Ihedioha a few hours ago, shared some photos he alleged were the present state of the Imo State Government House as left by former Governor Rochas Okorocha.
Although we cannot substantiate the authenticity of the photos, according to Governor Emeka Ihedioha who could not believe his eyes alongside his aides and security details, who accompanied him to the Imo State Government House in Owerri, said what they have seen might not be pleasant, but they must move forward in their quest to rebuild Imo State. He captioned the photos with these words:
“At the Government House yesterday on facility assessment tour. While our findings may not be too pleasant, be assured that we are thinking forward. We shall do our best to make the place conducive for all.

The Governor who was earlier rumoured to have started work as the Governor of the State after his swearing in, and later denied it, when he refuted media reports that he has ordered the demolition of monuments erected by Rochas Okorocha. He had said then in a statement released by his media aide, that:
“Does it stand to reason that a government that is barely 24 hours old, with no handover notes whatsoever and without an office to work from yet would concern itself with an ordinary statue”
From the photos shared on Saturday by Governor Emeka Ihedioha, it is clear that the Governor was telling the truth about not having an office to work form. But if truly, this is the present condition of the Government House in Imo State, then a lot of questions needs to be asked.
