Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba has been named in the PFA team of the year, ahead of the best player in the English Premier League this season, Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and last seasons’s player of the year, Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah. This has not gone down well with football fans all over the world, as they feel there are better players who deserved to be in the team ahead of Paul Pogba, who United are still struggling to ‘unlock’ since returning to Manchester United from Juventus.
Paul Pogba is the only player outside of Liverpool and Manchester City to have made it into the PFA team of the year, as players from both teams fighting for the league dominate the PFA team of the year.
Four Liverpool players made the cut, including Virgil van Dijk who has won the PFA Players’ Player of the Year ahead of Raheem Sterling.
Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has been named in the PFA Team of the Year for the second successive season, while Bernardo Silva is also included after his brilliant season for the Premier League champions. See the list:
