Ajax stops Ronaldo and Juventus from advancing to the next stage of the UEFA Champions League, and the possibility of winning it, after beating the Italian giant 1-2 in Turin on Tuesday night.

The surprise team of this season’s UEFA Champions League, and the most youthful team, Ajax without a doubt, are now looking more like the favourite to lift the Champions League, after their beautiful display against Real Madrid and now Juventus.

The tie which ended in a 1-1 draw in Amsterdam in the first leg was a different ball game in the second leg in Turin, as Ajax just like in Real Madrid, took the game to Juventus, and all the running from these young players were just too much for Juve to cope with.
Juventus went ahead first with a Cristiano Ronaldo header just before the half hour, but Donny van de Beek levelled moments later, and Matthijs de Ligt got the Dutch side’s second not long after the hour, with Ajax winning the game 1-2 and 2-3 on aggregate.

The Tuesday result now sees Ajax advancing to the Semifinals with an aggregate of 3-2 in and will now go on to face the winner of Tottenham Hotspur’s clash with Manchester City.
