Oba Saheed Elegushi of Ikate Land clocks 43 today April 10th, as the youngest Oba in Lagos took to his Instagram page, to not only share some lovely photos, but remember his late father.
Oba Saheed Elegushi who ascended the throne at the age of 34, is one of those new generation Oba that have clearly brought that elegance and glamour that hitherto ascribed to the Ooni of Ife to the Oba kinship…the Oba of Iwo land is another stylish Oba who also has changed the face of Obaship and we are loving it.
Oba Saheed Elegushi put up some photos with this caption wishing himself a happy birthday. He said:
“On this special day of mine, I just want to give thanks to the almighty Allah for the gift of life and happiness. I pray that He continues to bless me throughout the year” he said.
The Oba who also shares same birthday date with his late Father, Oba Elegushi, wished him a belated birthday, saying:
“To spend another birthday without you is very sad and I still cannot understand why you left so soon Kabiyesi. I’m very grateful for unforgettable moments that I lived right next to you. I would love to see you even it is for a moment just to give you a big hug and tell you personally how much I love you. Beloved dad, you are always in my mind, heart and soul. Congratulations on your posthumous birthday dad. I’m also very grateful for another year and wishing myself a Happy Birthday!”
Oba Saheed Elegushi had his secondary school education at the Methodist Boys’ High School, Lagos between 1988 and 1994.
After this, he proceeded to the Lagos State University, Ojo Campus around 1995 and 2000 bagging a Second Class Honourary Degree in Economics.
Oba Saheed Elegushi also acquired a Masters Degree in Economics at the Lagos State University, Ojo Campus between 2002 and 2003.
His father died in 2009, and he beats others to be crowned the next Oba…Congratulations to him on his birthday.
