UFC champion, Conor McGregor is a free man again, as a US Court has just dismissed his phone-smashing lawsuit brought against him in Miami.

The Irish man was a few days back charged with assault and battery lawsuit after he was shown in videotape where he was dragging a phone from a fan and smashing it outside a hotel in Miami.

The Blast reported that one Ahmed Abdirzak filed a notice with the court last week that he was dismissing his lawsuit against the UFC star. Abdirzak is dropping the case with prejudice, meaning he cannot re-file the lawsuit which usually points to a settlement

He was suing for assault and battery and seeking damages in excess of $15,000.

Conor McGregor was arrested over the incident, which went down outside the Fountainbleu Hotel in the early morning hours of March 11. Abdirzak claimed he recognized Conor McGregor and took out his phone to snap a picture.

Instead, Abdirzak claimed Conor McGregor grabbed him by the arm and punched his phone to the ground. To make matters worse, he claimed McGregor then picked it up, smashed it on the ground, and began stomping it repeatedly.

McGregor was later charged with one count of robbery and one count of criminal mischief.
