The Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Honourable Yakubu Dogara, on Tuesday paid a condolence visit to the family of late Hon Amadi Bethel, where he condoled with Barrister Mrs Mabel Amadi, her son, Nnaemeka Amadi and the entire members of the Amadi family over his demise.
“Hon Amadi was remarkable at every venture he undertook” the Speaker had said during his visit.
He continued by saying that as a the late Hon Amadi was a distinguishied lawmaker, patriotic principal officer of the House of Assembly, and President of Pan-african Parliament where his representation of Nigeria was faultless.
“At this time of great grief, I pray God gives them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss” he said.
The late Hon Amadi was a member of the Green Chamber and was representing the good people of Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, and was a third-term member.
According to unconfirmed report, the late lawmaker who had earlier suffered a stroke which has kept him bedridden for several months, died in London where he had gone for treatment at the age of 55-years.
