The Lagos State Governor-elect Sanwo-Olu and his Deputy Obafemi Hamzat on Monday met with President Muhammadu Buhari in the State House, Abuja were they held a closed-door meeting with the President on issues consigning Lagos State.
The official visit by the Lagos State Governor-elect Sanwo-Olu and his Deputy, can be regarded as a ‘thank you’ also, as this visit is their first official visit since the Governorship election.
The two won the just concluded Governorship election in the State, under the ruling party of the All Progressives Congress (APC), where he (Sanwo-Olu) defeated the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Jimi Agbaje with a margin that will go down in history of the State as the worst political defeat of the PDP Governorship candidate in the state.
The Governor-elect Sanwo-Olu putting up the photos of their visit, captioned it with:
“Today at the State House, Obafemi Hamzat and I had a fruitful meeting with H.E President Muhammadu Buhari. We shared our vision for a greater Lagos with him and solicited his support as we prepare for the task ahead of us.” he said.
