Queen Elizabeth has released a statement where she said the people of the United Kingdom are saddened by the terrorist attack in Christchurch New Zealand where over 49 were shot dead and many injured while praying in a mosque.
The statement released by the Royal family on behalf of the Queen reads:
“A message from The Queen to the people of New Zealand: “I have been deeply saddened by the appalling events in Christchurch today. Philip and I send our condolences to the families and friends who have lost their lives.
I also pay tribute to the emergency services and volunteers who are providing support to those who have been injured.
At this tragic time, my thoughts and prayers are with all New Zealanders. – Elizabeth R”
