AS Roma has announced the immediate sacking of their manager, Eusebio Di Francesco after they lost 3-1 to Portuguese side, Porto which lead to their painful exit from the UEFA Champions League last night.
AS Roma announced the sacking of manager, Eusebio after they lost their second leg game against Porto in the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
AS Roma released an official statement on Di Francesco sacking that reads:
“AS Roma announces that from today Eusebio Di Francesco is no longer the technical manager of the Club.
The Company thanks the coach for his work on the Giallorossi bench and wishes him the best for the future. “For my part and for the whole of AS Roma, I would like to thank Eusebio for their efforts,” said President Jim Pallotta. “He has always worked with a professional attitude and has placed the interests of the Club above all personal ones. We wish him the best for his career “.
Di Francesco, who as a player won a Scudetto with Roma in 2001, had started his new adventure in the capital in the summer of 2017.
