The winner of the Best rap album at the just concluded 61st Grammys CardiB deactivates her Instagram account, after backlash with fans of Nick Minaj and people feeling her Invasion of Privacy does not deserve to win Best Rap Album.
CardiB deactivates her Instagram just so she could allow all the drama of her Grammy win to cool off, after she was delibrately pinned against Nicki Minaj by the likes of BET, other celebrities and fans who have been shading Nicki for missing out on the Grammys.
Although CardiB appreciated all the love she has been receiving since her win, and despite the bad blood between her and the Chun Li rapper, she still feels Nick Minaj deserves to be respected, and herself given the accolades she deserved having worked so hard for the Album. She said:
“It’s not my style for people to put other people down to uplift somebody else. That’s not my style and that’s not what I’m with. I don’t support that,” she said.
“However, I’m seeing a lot of sh*t today and I saw a lot of bullsh*t last night… I work hard for my motherf**kin album. I remember last year when I didn’t win for ‘Bodak Yellow’ and everyone was like ‘Cardi got snubbed…’ Now it’s a motherf**kin problem?! I locked myself in the studio for 3 months, my n***a. Didn’t go to sleep in my bed sometimes for four days, pregnant… while everybody was harassing me like ‘You can’t do it…'”
Since her win, she has been getting praises and support from fellow celebrities, which she has been posting on her Instagram page before she temporarily deactivate the acccount. This is what her Instagram account looks like now:
