Stephanie Linus who has been in the Nollywood industry for over a decade, just like Genevieve Nnaji, has been working hard to produce better African films through Hollywood. Although she did not say whether or not she was honoured, sharing a room with some of Hollywood greats (blacks actors from the 70s) sure is an honour itself, just like she has stated on her caption of the photo.
I’m honored to be here at the Blacks in Cinema event. I was able to meet this lovely woman @mstinalawson here as well. Send my love to @beyonce! ? Thank you LA City Council for having us! #blacksincinema
Tina Knowles’s husband Richard Lawson was one of those honoured at the Blacks in Cinema event, as she shared some of the photos of her husband and herself from the event.
Richard Lawson was honoured as one of the pioneers black actors in Hollywood to have opened doors and acted as a role model to other aspiring black actors/actresses in Hollywood today…because they did it first, they gave others the belief that it is possible…
