British Tennis legend, Andy Murray has undergone a successful hip resurfacing surgery as he shares some photos from his hospital bed.
Andy Murray who is a Grand Slam winner and British number one Tennis player, has a few weeks ago announced that he will be retiring from Tennis, so as to enable him find a lasting solutions to the reoccurring hip injury he has suffered for years.
Putting up a photo of himself and the result of his hip scan, he said he feels a bit better now and although bruised, he is happy it was successful and hopefully that will be the end of his hip problem.
Murray had earlier said Wimbledon was going to be his last, after an early exit from the Australian Open in round one after defeat to Roberto Bautista Agut, he quickly jumped on the opportunity to get his operation done.
His surgery thankfully has gone well, he could drop the idea of retirement and continue with his game, as the British fans cannot afford not to have a top player like Andy in the game of tennis.
On his successful hip surgery, he said:
“I now have a metal hip,” Murray said in his social media post following his operation. “Feeling a bit battered and bruised just now but hopefully that will be the end of my hip pain. He said:
“I underwent a hip resurfacing surgery in London yesterday morning…feeling a bit battered and bruised just now but hopefully that will be the end of my hip pain I now have a metal hip as you can see in the 2nd photo and I look like I’ve got a bit of a gut in photo 1”
