Brahim Diaz made the Madrid move only a day after Pep Guardiola told Press that the club offered him a new five-year contract, but he turned it down, and that City will do everything to keep him at the club, only to announce that they have agreed a deal with Real on his transfer.
City have a 15 per cent profit on any future sale on Brahim Diaz, but that will rise to 40 per cent should Madrid sell Diaz to Manchester United.
In a Statement released by Real Madrid a few hours ago, the club said:
“Real Madrid C. F. and Manchester City have reached an agreement over the transfer of Brahim Díaz, who joins the club for the remainder of this season and the next six campaigns, until 30 June 2025.
After completing his medical, which will take place tomorrow, Monday 7 January, the player will be unveiled at 1:30pm CET in the presidential box at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Brahim will then set foot on the Santiago Bernabéu pitch for the first time in a Real Madrid C. F. shirt, before addressing the press in the media room’
