Popular Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic has a few hours ago taken to her social media page to wish her fans a Happy New Year, as it is already 2019 in Australia, where she has been for the festive season to celebrate with her family.

While Nigeria and some few other countries are still in 2018, and December 31st, the likes of Rita Dominic and millions in Australia are already ahead of the world, as they are already shooting off their fireworks to usher in the New Year.

According to CNN report, Samoa, New Zealand and Australia are always the first countries to ring in the New Year. American Samoa, its neighbour just 101 miles away, has to watch in envy and wait a full day.

There are 39 different local times in use, which means it takes 26 hours for the entire world to enter the New Year.

So, with this report, Rita Dominic and her family in Australia are way ahead of us, and she can easily fly down to Nigeria and celebrate the New Year twice! lol
She put up this photo on her Instagram page with this caption:

“Already 2019 where I am.. you coming?? #seeaustralia #yuletide”
