El-Rufai sends N81.68 bn supplementary budget to Kaduna Assembly

The Governor of Kaduna State, Governor Ahmad El-Rufai while other Governors are still preparing a budget proposal for 2019, has a few hours ago, signed the Kaduna State budget for 2019, which is a total of N157.44billion naira.

Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai who has named the 2019 budget as Budget of continuity, will be spending to continue the developmental strides in the State, as a huge sum of the total budget will be going to capital expenditure, which is about N94billion naira.

While signing the State Budget for 2019, Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai also signed a total of N62.34billion naira budget for all the 23 local government areas in the State.

According to the statement released by Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai on the 2019 budget, he said the budget shows a reflection of the Kaduna State Government’s commitment to human capital development, in the Social Sector, including Education and Health in the State.

A break down of the signed budget shows that human capital development, the Social Sector, including Education and Health take up N39.14bn or 41% of the N94bn capital budget, Education has a capital budget of N25.4bn, while Health has N13.1bn.

Stating further, the Governor said the capital expenditure shows a concrete demonstration of his administration desire to promote equality of opportunity by putting people first.

Also confirming our observation, the Governor said for the fourth straight year, the new financial year for the Kaduna State Government will begin on the first day of January, making the State a pacesetter, even when that is not their state slogan…lol
