President Buhari has rubbished rumour that has been going around that he is a clone, saying such ignorant rumours are not surprising, as most people wanted  him dead.

President Muhammadu Buhari who was speaking with Nigerians in Poland, said most people thought he was going to die when he was sick in London, but  unfortunately for them, he is not only alive, but very strong.

He assured the Nigerian community in Poland of his commitment to restore the economy, and restore peace, saying they should ignore the rumours as the man standing before them and addressing them is the real him and not a clone. He said.

He also said he will be celebrating his 76th birthday in a few days, and he is happy to be alive. He said:

One of the questions that came up today in my meeting with Nigerians in Poland was on the issue of whether I‘ve been cloned or not. The ignorant rumours are not surprising — when I was away on medical vacation last year a lot of people hoped I was dead.

Poor Professor Osinbajo, even he had to deal with the rumours — Some people reached out to him to consider them to be his Vice President because they assumed I was dead. That embarrassed him a lot; we discussed it when he visited me while I was convalescing.
I can assure you all that this is the real me. Later this month I will celebrate my 76th birthday. And I’m still going strong!
