Akwa Ibom siege: Senator Akpabio and APC are responsible-PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused former Governor of Akwa Ibom State and now Senator, Senator Godswill Akpabio and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) as those behind the Akwa Ibom siege and violence at the State House of Assembly.

PDP in a statement released a while ago, the party said, Senator Godswill Akpabio’s alleged hired thugs are on a rampage at the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, and motorists have been barred from the Assembly complex. The statement reads:

“Senator Godswill Akpabio’s APC hired thugs are on a rampage at the AKHA.
Motorists barred from the State Assembly Complex and cars set ablaze by the thugs. Nigerians should hold Senator Akpabio and the APC responsible for these actions”

PDP in a statement released a few hours ago, condemned the Akwa Ibom siege saying, the whole idea behind the recent onslaught by Senator Godswill Akpabio’s sponsored sacked members of the state assembly is to cause mayhem, generate tension with a view to make the state ungovernable. It was also alleged by Deji Adeyanju that the five lawmakers were given N5billion naira to carry out the impeachment process of the Speaker, and thereafter the Governor of the State. He had twitted this yesterday:
“BREAKING: Presidency to spend N5billion to impeach Akwa Ibom State Speaker. IG of Police to be instructed to escort 5 APC members to the STHA in order to forcefully achieve this tomorrow. Goal is also to impeach Gov.
