Afrobeats Queen, Tiwatope Savage-Balogun, who is famously known as Tiwa Savage, has yet again, featured on British Vogue magazine December Issue (anniversary edition), a few months after she granted an interview to the magazine on her pop-up store, in London and her musical journey in a male-dominated Afrobeat genre.
Tiwa Savage who is number one female entertainer, keeps on raising the bar, not just for her female counterpart, but also the music/entertainment industry in general. She was overjoyed to be part of the one-year anniversary of Editor-in-Chief, Edward Enninful at the helm of British Vogue, where she shared a photo of an inside of the magazine, where she granted her interview, while also telling her fans, that her 2019 has already started.
Tiwa Savage has had the privilege which no other Africa musician has had (she has earned this through hard work and consistency), especially since her returning to Nigeria and taking the Afrobeats music genre, as it has been one award to the other, and shutting down shows. This journey are well documented in British Vogue magazine, especially her interview in August 2018.
Also, the British Vogue in celebrating Chief Editor Edward Enninful first year at the helm released four covers to celebrate the achievement, and these covers had such model as: Stella Tennant, South Sudanese Adut Adkech, Saffron Vadher, and Primrose Archer on them.
Tiwa Savage who recently won MTV EMA award as Best African Act, while speaking on her music, said:
“In everything I do, whether it is in my native language or African beat, something is going to let you know that I am an Africa woman,” she said.
