Popular Nigerian comedian, Mr. Francis Agoda who goes by the stage name, Igodye, has a few hours ago, put up a photo of himself patronizing a roadside petty trader selling roasted plantain, saying this is the season of the popular culture of roadside snacking by Nigerian politicians.
Igodye (Francis Agoda) who is not really a politician nor is he contesting any political office, said since the 2019 general elections is just some few weeks away, this is the kind of photos that will flood the social media, as Politicians who hitherto are not known to buy or snack in public, will start putting up photos of them eating Amala, buying roasted plantain, eating bread and roasted fish…lol
He put the photo saying Nigerians are wiser now, as they can clearly see that these politicians who engage in this deceit do not have the interest of the poor masses at heart. He said they do all these show-offs, just for votes and during elections, and once they get into office, those same poor traders and the masses they bought these snacks from, becomes history to them. He said:
“For now to 2019 na all dis kind picture our politicians go soon dey snap…#wedonwise.”
This photo and what the comedian is saying is just on point, hitting the nail on someone’s head!…lol…since i can remember, there has been such photos by Politicians flooding social media showing us how close they are to the poor (closeness inside photo only)…We all have seen some of these photos sha…if you have any, feel free to share…
Only a few days ago, one popular politician and grammarian who was a former House of Reps member, shared a photo of himself, eating bread at a local store, when we already know, that all is for show….election gimmicks.
