Reality TV star Kenya Moore and husband, Marc Daly, a few hours ago, welcome their first child together, which is a baby girl, at the age of 47.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, was safely delivered of her newborn, after some pregnancy complications at about 9:39 a.m. on Sunday.
According to a report by People, the baby girl weighs 5 lbs. and 12 oz, and has already been named Brooklyn Doris Daly, which is the name of Kenya Moore’s grandmother (Doris) who past on a year ago. She explained the name saying:
“Brooklyn because that’s where we met and fell in love, and Doris after my grandmother who passed away last year and who raised me,” She had said.
People magazine alos reported that Kenya Moore, who conceived through in vitro fertilization, gave birth via emergency cesarean section after revealing on Oct. 27 that she had tested positive for preeclampsia.
It is a pregnancy complication that caused her to gain “17 lbs. in a week due to severe swelling and water retention, high blood pressure, and excess protein in urine.”
She also spoke about her pregnancy On October 27th, before she was delivered, taking to her social media page, to share a photo of her swollen feet, saying:
I made fun of my swollen feet, next day my tests came back for possible preeclampsia…this is not normal,” “Baby is fine but if [test] come back higher #babydaly will have to come same day.”
“Staying positive,” Moore added. “To my pregnant sisters please go to your visits and tell the doctor of any drastic changes. Thank God I have great doctors.”

She’s so perfect and strong! Marc was incredible in the deliver room. I lost a lot of blood so I’m very weak but they both were strong for me.
