Rapper, Drake has a few hours ago taken to his social media page to pen some words to a fan, known as Kay (Queen Kay on IG) who has been sick, but unfortunately did not survive from her illness.
Drake who in his statement said they met through a wish, and has build a close relationship with her , said he will never forget all she did. He said she constantly was sending him messages to know about his well being and all, and even sent him a birthday message on his birthday, which he didn’t have the time to read.
Narrating how sad he felt on hearing the news of her passing on, Drake said he regrets not reading the Birthday message, and he was even planning on coming to see her after his tour, only to receive the sad news of her death. See his statement:
“Gonna miss you a whole lot. We met through make a wish and we built a genuine bond you would text me and check on me while I was on tour and tell me positive things and share your dreams and goals. I am crying in this pic but it was tears of joy cause we just prayed for you with your father. I am sorry I missed your text on my birthday that’s eating my soul right now but you know how much I loved you and was looking forward to seeing you after tour. I don’t know why I am writing this on IG I just need to get it out cause it’s sitting heavy on my heart. Will remember you forever K! ?? @the.kaydiaries” he wrote.
It is well documented that Drake has lots of friends, especially children who have one health issues or the other, and he has made it a duty to visit them and give them some hope of beating the sickness. It is just unfortunate that Kay did not make it, but she fought hard. RIP Kay.
