The leader of the alleged terrorist group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu has resurfaced in Jerusalem, as the photos and videos of the self-acclaimed leader have been circulating the social media.
Although we cannot substantiate the authenticity of the photos or video, where Nnamdi Kanu in the photos can be spotted with some group of men with him dressed in white cloth and a cap, as he posed for a photo with the unknown men.
Nnamdi Kanu is reappearing after months of him allegedly going missing, in September 2017, after the Nigerian Army show of Force in the South East, under the code name “Operation Python dance” in Umuahia and environs.
Although a popular politician and former Governor of Abia State Orji Uzor Kalu a few weeks ago, was alleged to have said Nnamdi Kanu while his family members and supporter, and some Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Politicians accused the Federal Government and Nigerian Army of murdering Nnamdi Kanu, the former Governor alleged that the IPOB leader has been smuggled out of the country using his British Passport.
There have been alleged sponsored protests by politicians against the government in the pretense to allegedly know the whereabouts of the IPOB leader. But these photos calls to question those that has been allegedly accusing the Government and the Military of allegedly killing the IPOB leader.
Also, these photos surfacing now, definitely will not do justice to the court case of Senator Enyinnanya Aberibe who stood as a surety for the IPOB leader, after paying N100million naira. He will now have to produce the IPOB leader.
This is clearly a big boost to the Federal Government’s case, where Orji Kalu has already been invited on the case explain what he knows about the alleged disappearance of the Leader.
If the authenticity of the photos and videos can be substantiated, the Federal Government could seek help from Interpol to track him down to continue his case in court, after jumping bail.
We await the Federal Government response or reactions to this new development.
