English Premier League and Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fàbregas’ has been given double awards and a place in the Guinness World Records for 2019, for being the fastest to reach 100 assists in fewer games than any other player.

According to the report by the Guinness books of records, Fabregas won the award for the fastest time to achieve 100 assists in the Premier League, reaching the tally in just 293 games.

The report states that the Chelsea man achieved this in 74 matches sooner than Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs who is second on the list with 367 games.

They made a reference of one of the Premier League games in which Fàbregas broke the record-breaking assist, as when he came on 31 December 2016 setting up his Brazilian team mate and midfielder, Willian who scored what was the second goal in a game Chelsea won by 4-2 win over Stoke City.

The Spanish midfielder while receiving the awards said:
“I’m not the fastest, I’m not the strongest, I’m not the most flexible, I don’t jump high,” he said with a smile.
“But to achieve this record in my career is one of the proudest things in my job, because it is my job and I did it well.

Fabregas since the appointment of new coach Maurizio Sarri, is yet to start a Premier League game, as he has been struggling to retake his place in the new Chelsea team, with Brazilian native and Italian International midfielder Jorginho who has been a class on his own, been favoured over him.

Jorginho was the first signing of Manager Sarri, and since his arrival, has taken over the midfield of Chelsea. He is the new ball passer in the League, having highest number of touches than the opponent in a single game, and he is one of the keys to the Maurizio Sarri’s success stories in Chelsea so far this season.

Fabregas might not be starting for Chelsea, but as Sarri had said previously, the Spaniard is still a critical part of what Chelsea are trying to achieve, and that it is just a matter of time he makes his way back to the team, given that he has been injured before now.
..congratulations to Chelsea and Fabregas for the awards.
