Mesut Ozil has taken to his social media page to say a very big thank you to his fans and family members, and to everyone who wished him a happy birthday yesterday, with an adorable photo with his wife.
The now retired German International and Arsenal midfielder, clocked 30 yesterday, and received messages from his club and fans, and even from his estranged family “the German football Federation” as they wished him many more years of celebration both in life and his footballing career.
Putting up the photo with his girlfriend, he captioned the photo with this message:

Ozil has had his troubles both with the German national team and Arsenal, but he seems to have found happiness, since calling it quit with the National team, after some allegations bothering on racial abuse and alleged lack of commitment to national duty.
Since the arrival of Arsenal’s new manager Unai Emery, Ozil has continued to flourish under him as they look to challenge for the English Premier League title this time around.
It is still not clear whether or not Mesut Ozil would like to have a change of heart and return to the German National team which seems to be struggling since after the world cup in Russia, which was a disaster for them.
The German FA would be hoping he considers this, and used their birthday message to him as a sign that they still love and want him.
