Meghan and Prince Harry a few hours ago announced that they are expecting their first child, as Kensington Palace revealed that the Duchess of Sussex will be due in Spring of 2019.
Meghan and Prince Harry who are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex got married five months ago, in one of the most celebrated and historic royal wedding since the establishment of the crown, and will be adding to the royal family, the first mixed Princess or Prince.
Meghan is 37, and Prince Harry is 35 and their love story, was one which nobody saw coming, and many were skeptical about it, given that Meghan is black. It was until they finally made it official by going public a few months ago, that the world started taking them serious.
The statement released by Kensington Palace on the big news, reads:
“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019.
Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”
According to a report by BBC the Duke and Duchess of Sussex broke the news on Friday at the Royal wedding Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank at the St George’s Chapel in Windsor,
The report said:
“It was there that the duke and duchess chose to inform the most senior members of the Royal Family about the duchess’s condition.
“The Queen was told, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Duchess of Cornwall – they chose that day to spread the happy news around and then recovered and relaxed, got on a plane, came over here and then put out the news for the rest of us.”
“Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently on a tour of Australia and New Zealand, as we kick off our countdown till due date.
