Wayne Rooney has a few minutes ago, taken to his social media page to share an epic throwback photo of ex-Manchester United players during their time with the club.

Wayne Rooney who is the all-time leading goal scorer for Manchester United, shared the photo showing, himself, Rio Ferdinand, Paul Scholes, John O’Shea, and Alan Smith, all in their baggy jeans.

Alan Smith played for Manchester United from 2004 to 2007, and got just 61 appearances for the club, with just 6 goals registered.

Paul Scholes who is the most experience and best midfielder ever produced by Manchester United, started his professional football career with United, winning 25 trophies, including eleven Premiership titles, two Champions League, FA Cups, and League cups. He is a co-owner of Salford City.

Rio Ferdinand on the other hand, was one of the best defenders in English football, and one time most expensive centre back, and like Paul Scholes, won many titles for the club, including Champions League. He is now a football pundit.

John O’shea was one of the most reliable player in the history of the club, as he had no permanent position as a player under manager Sir Alex Furgusson. He played as a centre back, right and left back, midfielder, striker and even a goalkeeper. Like others too, he won most of the titles and captained the team.

Wayne Rooney came to Manchester United from Everton, and as they say, the rest is history, as he won the club so many titles, to become all-time leading goal scorer of the club with 253 goals in all competition.

He left Manchester United after playing under Jose Mourinho, and after falling out with the Portuguese coach, he decided to leave the club. He now plays for Major League Soccer D.C United in the United States. He has so far soccer nine goals in sixteen appearances for his new club.
