Messi is now set to tell his full story on how he rose as a kid in Argentina to become a world super star in world football, as a Canadian company Cirque du Solei has gotten the nod from the Barcelona magician on a film about “the life of Lionel Messi”.
Messi who is yet to win the FIFA world cup, despite his exploit as a footballer, is still been described as the best footballer in the world, who has profited handsomely by promoting everything from soft drinks, clothing brands, cellphones and so much more both in Europe, Asia and America.
The Canadian entertainment is proud to be producing one of the company’s signature acrobatic shows based on Messi’s life.
Messi taking to his social media page, said:
“I am honored to announce my partnership with @CirqueduSoleil for the creation of a brand-new show in 2019 based on my life and the passion for Football,”
There were few details on how the company will depict the story of Messi, and his rise from a boy from Rosario, Argentina, who overcame a growth-hormone deficiency to a star at Spain’s F.C. Barcelona and perhaps the best player in soccer history.
In a statement, Cirque du Soleil said the show would “draw its inspiration from the incredible talent and accomplishments of the football legend.”
This will be the first time Cirque du Soleil will be making film on football, and what a way to kick off with a documentary with the player.
“We are convinced that bringing Messi’s legacy to life on stage will touch audiences and speak to all football fans,” said Jonathan Tétrault, Cirque du Soleil’s president
Although the Barcelona captain has been criticized by his country men and women, especially football fans in Argentina for not doing enough to help his country win trophies just like he has been doing for his clubside Barcelona, he is still the world best footballer compared to some of his rivals.
