Man United and manager Jose Mourinho narrowly escaped what would have been an embarrassing afternoon at the Old Trafford to earn a dramatic late win over visiting Newcastle United.

Man United had to come from two goals down in the first half to take all three points, beating Newcastle 3-2 in a game of two different and dramatic halves.

It took substitute Alexis Sanchez’s fine header in the 90th minutes to probably extend José Mourinho’s stay as a manager at Old Trafford, as his late minute header was what made the difference, to help United sealed an unlikely winner, sending the Old Trafford faithful wild with excitement, feeling like the Alex Ferguson’s United again…in a long while…

Jose Mourinho’s side still are not impressive as Newcastle would have ended the game far in the first half, but the brilliance of David De Gea saved the reds from an embarrassing night.

Newcastle took the lead as early as in the 8-minutes as Chelsea loanee Kenedy scored and two minutes later Yoshinori Muto made it two in the first half as Man United for the first time conceded two goals inside 10 minutes at Old Trafford in the Premier League.

Man Utd fans sang “We love United, we do,” while Newcastle fans mocked Mourinho with a rendition of: “You’re getting sacked in the morning.”

Mourinho reacted, by taking out Eric Bailly for Juan Mata after just 19 minutes, and they should have pulled one back through Marcus Rashford, whose close-range header from Romelu Lukaku’s cross fell inches wide.

Mata a few minutes later curled home a superb free-kick from 25 yards, to pull one back for United.

The hosts were level with 14 minutes remaining after a world class move; Martial slipped the ball into Pogba, whose backheel flick gave Martial space to fire past Dubravka and into the bottom left corner from 15 yards.

Sanchez popped up with the dramatic winner, heading home Young’s cross from eight yards.

Up next for United is Juventus and Chelsea, a far much bigger test than Newcastle with most people saying, United won because Newcastle decided to withdraw and defend…
