Bayelsa East has finally announced Blessing Izagara as their candidate under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as he was declared winner of the Senatorial primaries.
He will be replacing Senator Ben Murray Bruce who had earlier stepped down due to PDP and the zone’s one-term policy and rotation among the three Local Government Areas that makes up the zone.
Senator Ben Murray Bruce has since congratulated Blessing Izagara for the becoming the PDP Senatorial candidate that will fly the party’s flag in the 2019 general elections.
The message from Senator Ben Murray Bruce reads:
“My hearty congratulations to Hon Blessing Ipigansi Izagara, who has just won the PDP Senatorial primaries for Bayelsa East. God willing, this is the man who will succeed me in the Senate.
We are one family in Bayelsa East and nothing will break that familial bond.“
