Nuhu Ribadu has paid a courtesy visit to President Muhammadu Buhari at the Also Villa as the former anti-corruption Czar reappears after a long absence from the public eye.

Nuhu Ribadu who was once the Presidential candidate of the now defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in the 2011 general elections, where he worked with the then party leader of the party, Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is now the National Leader of the now ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), went head to head with former President Good luck Jonathan for the Presidential elections where he lost.

A few years letter, ACN entered into a merger with other opposition political parties to form APC, thereby dumping Nuhu Ribadu as their Presidential candidate, and replacing him with President Muhammadu Buhari.

Muhammadu Buhari replaced Nuhu Ribadu as APC Presidential candidate for 2015 general elections and the result was a landslide victory for the then opposition parties which merged to form a mega party called APC.

The party won, defeating an incumbent President for the first time in Nigeria electoral history and nothing was heard from Nuhu Ribadu who faced some series of challenges with the head of the Nigerian Police force thereafter.

The former Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Boss on Sunday, was a guest at the state House where he visited the President, but did not tell reasons behind his visit. But the state house who put up the photo last night 16th September 2018, captioned the photo with just these few words:

President Muhammadu Buhari tonight, received former Chairman of the EFCC, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu at the Residence, State House, Abuja.

On his part, Nuhu Ribadu appreciating the President for receiving him said:

It was a pleasure to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari
earlier this evening (Sunday). I am grateful for the audience, Mr. President. He said.
