Nigerian Army has recorded another success in their quest to restore peace and wipe out the dreaded Boko Haram terrorist group, as they recovered some livestock after neutralizing some of the terrorist group in Geseda village in Borno State.

In a statement released a few minutes ago by the Nigerian Army Relations Officer Brig. Gen. Texas Chukwu, the troops of Sector 3 Operation LAFIYA DOLE in conjunction with 82 Task Force Battalion following a tip-off embarked on a long-range clearance and link up patrol resulting in the killing of many Boko Haram terrorists in Gesada village, Guzamala Local Government Area Borno State.

The terrorists met their waterloo when they came to the village to extort money and rustle livestock belonging to the villagers.

Brig. Gen. Texas Chukwu in the statement listed items recovered from the terrorists, as:

a. Some livestock

b. Two  AK47 rifles

Stating further, he said, the troops of the Nigerian Army, returned 147 livestock recovered from Boko Haram terrorists in Matasari village to their owners after proper screening and confirmation by the Bulama and Civilian Joint Task Force in Jentilo village of Kukawa Local Government Area. He said.

This will not be the first time the Nigeria Army and Airforce will be recording success in the fight against the terrorist group in the North East as this is just one out of many recorded.

The Nigerian Military of the Army,  Airforce and Navy are engaged in different operations around the country, as efforts to rid the country of all illegal activities seen as threats to national security, especially the activities of the dreaded Boko Haram group in the North East, the issue of kidnapping and bunkery in the South-South and South East of the country, and also the South West.

The Military is also battling to restore peace in the North Central where we have the issue of farmers vs herdsmen clash. The issue of banditry in the North West and highway robbery along Kaduna-Abuja road is also where successes are being recorded by the military.

In all, the military seem over stretched, but the government and the military chiefs are doing their all to make sure Nigerians irrespective of where they are live in peace and the territory call Nigeria is secured from external forces.
