Obaseki a few hours ago, took to his social media page to commiserate with the Governor of Bayelsa State, Governor Seriake Dickson on the death of his mother, late Madam Gold-Coast Dickson.
Governor Godwin Obaseki in his message, described the death of the late Mrs. Godl-Coast as a monumental loss, describing her as a quintessential mother who was in her lifetime, a devoted Christian and community leader.
Taking to his social media page, Governor Obaseki had this to say:
“I commiserate with Gov. Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State, over the passing of his mother, Mrs. GoldCoast Dickson, who has been described as a quintessential mother, devout Christian and community leader who gave her lifetime to the service of God and humanity.”
The Governor of Edo State, Governor Obaseki will be the latest Governor and politician that will be commiserating with the Governor of Bayelsa State, as both Governors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his won Political party of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have all sent in their condolences since the announcement of the death of Madam Gold-Coast Dickson.
Governor Seriaki Dickson is a man loved by all, as since his mother’s death he has been receiving condolence messages from both within and outside of his party. Even President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo were among those that have sent in their messages commiserating with the Bayelsa State Governor.
The Governor also with all the political drama that has been going on between APC and PDP, has somehow, removed himself from any controversy, as for him, after elections, party takes a back seat while the focus is to provide dividend of democracy to Nigerians, which is why he is endeared by some many around the country.
The late Mrs. Gold-Coast Dickson died of breast cancer at the MD Anderson Cancer Centre, University of Texas, Houston Texas, United States, at the age of 72.
