I guess this was what Wizkid meant when he said ‘I am feeling good tonight…this thing gat me thanking God for life…can’t explain” in his Ojelegba hit song.

I mean tell me which Nigerian or African artiste own a pop-up shop outside of his country, talk less of owning one in a city such as New York City! lol

Abeg! this is the time to celebrate, as Wizkid whose real name is Ayodeji Balogun a few hours ago announced the official opening of his STAR-BOY pop up shop in New York city, United States of America.

Though the store does not open until tomorrow, it is another news we should be celebrating, as for the first time in history (that I know of anyway) Nigerian Artiste is doing something to put the name of the country in the global map of Entertainment industry and now the fashion world.

Since he ventured into music and taking Afrobeat and Nigerian song to the world, it has been accolades upon accolade.

The recently crowned black King by Puff Daddy, only a few weeks ago, was pictured walking the runway in Doyce&Gabbana outfits, with the goddess of the runway herself, Naomi Campbell walking alongside, little did we know that the Ojuelegba music crooner was up to something much more bigger, and here it arrives in New York City…STAR-BOY POP Up Store.

WizKid made the big announcement on his Instagram page a few hours ago and from what he put up on his page, the wears are of limited edition and should be selling out in no time.

Unlike other musicians who go about bragging about buying private jets and luxury cars, Wizkid is going the way of entrepreneurship and has been that one celebrity who hardly show off on social media.

The afrobeat singer has announced just one pop-up shop so far, which is located at 807 Washington Street New York, so if you are a Wizkid fan and someone who supports African music, hit the store tomorrow when it opens.

The amazing thing about the whole Star-boy clothing line is the uniqueness and a line that not just represent him as a musician, but a Nigerian, an Africa. The boy from Surelere Lagos Nigeria. He represented all these in his designs, and all we can say here is a big congratulations to Wizkid on this one.
