NASS: Osinbajo condemns siege, orders disciplinary action

Vice President Osinbajo in a statement released a few minutes ago, condemned the siege at the National Assembly this morning promising disciplinary actions against culprits.

The Vice President who had earlier ordered the immediate sacking of the Director General of the Department of Security Services (DSS) Mr. Lawal Daura, condemned the actions of the security agents, which he said was against the rule of law. He said:

“As a start, I have directed that the appointment of the DG of the DSS, Mr. Lawal Daura be terminated.

He has been directed to hand over to the most Senior Officer in the State Security Service.
The unauthorized takeover of the NASS complex today is a gross violation of the rule of law and all acceptable notions of law and order.
Persons within the law enforcement apparatus who participated in this travesty will be identified and subjected to disciplinary action.”

Well, for once, we are seeing some actions, and just like we reported earlier, finding person or persons who gave Daura the order to deploy his men to the National Assembly to lay a siege will be a difficult one. But we hope and pray people are brought to book for attempting to set the country on fire…we are waiting sha…
